COVID-19 Relief Response
During the peak of the Covid 19 pandemic, VSP not only undertook mask-making initiatives but also spread awareness through flyers to educate on hygiene, social distancing and ration support guidelines. We also ensured food security by distributing grocery kits to 10,955 families of migrant workers from Mumbai, Ratnagiri, Dhule, Buldhana, and Amravati districts. This initiative wouldn’t have been possible on a large scale without the support from Care India, BNP Paribas, Plan International and individual donors...We also fed 200 migrant workers with cooked meals, who were on their way back home to North India. ‘Mission for Vision’ NGO supported us in this drive. VSP admires the untiring efforts of doctors, nurses and police who are working around the clock during these crucial times. To keep these frontline workers safe, we distributed 2750 Personal Protection Equipment Kits to them. These kits were supported by Care India.

Anaemia Free Vidarbha Campaign
It has been observed that the Haemoglobin level of women in Vidarbha region is very low and they face a lot of problems related to health on account of this reason. Vikas Sahyog Pratishthan intervened in the regions of Buldana and Amravati district to change this trend. A health check-up camp was conducted in these regions to access the Haemoglobin levels of women in the region. The Haemoglobin level was on average around 7-8. A normal HB level must be around 11....VSP in association with the Sahayak trust conducted workshops across 103 villages to highlight the importance of good nutritional vegetables being a part of the diet and how they can be easily available through a Parisar Poshan Baug. Post this intervention a lot of families implemented the Parisar Poshan Baug concept in their backyard. A total of 800+ Baugs were developed and over 2400+ benefited out of the initiative.
Health check-up camps were again conducted after 1.5 years across these villages and it was observed that the average range of HB amongst these women was in the range of 10-11. This was attributed to a healthy diet received by the citizens through poshan baugs.
